Everyone needs inspiration in life, some take it from books, some from historic events, some from personal life and some from sports. At Jain College of Engineering, Belagavi we conduct numerous sports with fair play, courtesy toward teammates and opponents, ethical behavior and integrity, and grace in victory or defeat. At our college students excelling in sports conducted are honored and rewarded at the annual day celebration.

Achievements

  1. Anusha Kulkarni 4th Semester Student of Computer Science has been selected to be part of VTU Table Tennis Women’s Team for the year 2012
  2. Pavankumar Jawalkar student of E & C has been selected to represent VTU Football Team for the year 2012.
  3. Jain college of Engineering won the Belagavi Zone VTU Table Tennis Tournament for the year 2013 organised by BVB College of Engineering Hubli. 
  4. Swimmers Pranav Thakur won Bronze Medal in 200 meters medley and Nidhi Khot won Bronze medal in 100 meters Breaststroke at the VTU Intercollegiate Competition organized by Reva Institute of Technology for the year 2013. 
  5. Four Boxers Rakesh Desai in 55 kg , Zain Ternikar in 81kg, Sunilkumar Harobidi in 48 kg and Rohit Vannur in 91 kg had been selected for the VTU Team for the year 2013. 
  6. Mahesh Kotalagi had been selected for the VTU Netball team for the year 2014.
  7. Praveen Navagekar hasdbeen selected for the VTU Football team for the year 2014.
  8. Jain college of Engineering were the runners up at the Belagavi Zone VTU Hockey Tournament for the year 2014 organised by Gogte Institute of Technology Belagavi.
  9. Swimmer Nidhi Khot won Silver medal in 100 and 200 meters and bronze medal in 50 meters Breaststroke at the VTU inter – collegiate championship 2014 organised by M. S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology Bangalore.
  10. Jain college of Engineering were the Runners –up at the Belagavi Zone VTU Table Tennis Tournament for the year 2014 organised by S.G.Balekundri Institute of Technology Belagavi. 
  11. Abhijeet Uchukar won the Gold medal in the 66 kg Category Wrestling Championship organized by VDRIT Haliyal and also selected to represent VTU Team.
  12. Akshay Mannur had been selected for the VTU Netball team for the year 2015. 
  13. Six Boxers Zain Ternikar in 91 kg, Vikas Oja in 60kg, Sunilkumar Harobidi in 49 kg , Rohit Vannur in 75 kg, Ms. Emeethi Mohite in 56kg, & Ms. Akshata Patil in 60 kg  have been selected for the VTU Boxing Men & Women team respectively for the year 2015. 
  14. Jain college of Engineering won the Belagavi Zone VTU Badminton Tournament for the year 2016 organized by Jain college of Engineering Belagavi. 
  15. Vinayak Salunke won gold medal in power lifting in 105 kg category for the year 2016 organized by Global Academy of Technology. 
  16. Vinayak Tigadoli won Bronze medal in Weight lifting in 69 kg category for the year 2016 organized by Global Academy of Technology.
  17. Rupesh Chavan won the Gold Medal in the Best Physique 60kg  category at the Single Zone VTU Best Physique competition organized by  Global Academy of Technology  for the year 2018. 
  18. Men’s Team Participated in the Hand Ball Tournament held at KLSGIT Belagavi on 2nd& 3rd April 2019 and won the Belagavi Zone Championship and Participated in the Inter Zone Handball Tournament held at Nagarjuna College of Engineering and Technology Bengaluru on 8th& 9th April 2019.
  19. Rupesh Chavan won the Gold Medal in the Best Physique 65kg  category at the Single Zone VTU Best Physique competition organized by  Sairam College of Engineering Bangalore for the year 2019
  20. Rupesh Chavan (Best Physique), Mas. Pranam Patil (Boxing) ,  and Mas. Shubham Patil  (Shooting) were selected to represent VTU University for the year 2019
  21. Men’s Team Participated in the Swimming Competition held at Jyothy IT Bengluru on 15th & 16th December 2021.  Aditya Bagai won silver medal in 200 butterfly at VTU Single Zone Swimming competition.  Subhodh S Sulebhavi has secured 2 Bronze medals in 400 mts free style and 400 mts IM.
  22. Men’s team won the Belagavi Zone championship in the Handball Tournament held at VDIT Haliyal on 22nd & 23rd June 2022 and further participated in the Inter Zone Tournament held at MIT Mysuru on 25th & 26th June 2022. 
  23. Rupesh Chavan won the Gold Medal in the Best Physique 60kg  category at the Single Zone VTU Best Physique competition organized by  Global Academy of Technology  for the year 2018. 
  24. Men’s Team Participated in the Hand Ball Tournament held at KLSGIT Belagavi on 2nd& 3rd April 2019 and won the Belagavi Zone Championship and Participated in the Inter Zone Handball Tournament held at Nagarjuna College of Engineering and Technology Bengaluru on 8th& 9th April 2019.
