  • OBJECTIVE OF THE EVENT / ACTIVITY:

To offer a forum where JCE students can create, express and explore the creative side by bringing their imagination into reality. The idea is to promote the art of Indian Himalayas the Uttarakhand’s “Aipan (ALPANA) Art” which is an established-ritualistic folk art originating from Kumaon in the Indian Himalayas. This art is done mainly on special occasions, household ceremonies and rituals. The practitioner believes that it invokes a divine power which brings about good fortune and deters evil.

OUTCOME OF THE PROGRAM:

Around 5 students have participated in the events organized by SEC in association with Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat & FAC. All the participated students gave their best in 2 Hours and their artworks collected and recorded. The event was co-ordinated by EBSB & FAC student co-ordinators Akshata, Radhika & Saish with staff co-ordinators Prof. Minal Patil, Prof. Deepali Patil & Prof. Ashwini.A. Overall the event was successful in depicting the traditional folk art of Uttarakhand.
