About Event
• The department of EEE organized a session on “All About Projects” to guide students on the importance of undertaking project as part of their engineering curriculum. The session highlighted howprojects help in applying theoretical knowledge to practical problems, developing problem-solving and design skills, and preparing students for industry or higher research. It also covered essential aspects such as project selection, planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation criteria.
Objectives
• To create awareness among students about the complete project lifecycle – from idea generation to implementation and presentation.
• To guide students in selecting suitable project topics relevant to academics, industry, and society.
• To explain the importance of problem identification, defining objectives, and choosing the right methodology.
• To provide insights into effective project planning, time management, and teamwork.
• To familiarize students with report writing, documentation, and presentation skills.
• To highlight the evaluation criteria and expectations from academic/industry projects.
• To motivate students towards innovation, research orientation, and practical application of knowledge.
Outcomes
• Understanding of Project Lifecycle – Participants gained clarity on stages such as project selection, problem identification, objectives, literature review, methodology, implementation, testing, and documentation.
• Awareness of Project Skills – Students understood the importance of research, innovation, teamwork, time management, and technical writing in project development.
• Guidance on Report & Presentation – Participants learned about structuring project reports, preparing effective presentations, and communicating results.
• Motivation for Innovation – The session inspired students to think creatively and develop practical solutions with societal and industrial relevance.
• Career Relevance – Students understood how project work builds competencies useful for higher studies, placements, and entrepreneurship.
