The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Jain College of Engineering, Belagavi, successfully organized Navikā – 2026, a comprehensive academic and co-curricular event, on
1st January 2026, showcasing experiential learning, student reflections, social responsibility, creativity, and cultural talent.
The program commenced in the morning at9:00 AM. A series of academic activities including Experiential Learning sessions were conducted on the subject Digital Logic Circuits (DLC), where students actively engaged in learning through practical applications. This was followed by Student Reflections activities on the subject Transformers and Generators (T&G), enabling students to critically reflect on their learning experiences. In addition, sessions on Social Connectivity and Responsibility (SCR) emphasized ethical values, social awareness, and community responsibility among students. The program concluded at 11.00 AM.
The highlight of Navikā– 2026was the unveiling of the Department Annual Magazine
“IMPETUS – 2025”, that was held between 11:30 AM and 12:30 PM. The program was graced by the Chief Guest, Mr. P. V. Datar, Assistant Professor and Head, GIT, Belagavi, and the Guest of Honor, Ms. Shreya Mysore, CEO, Shantala Power Ltd., Hubballi. The event was presided over by Dr. J. Shivakumar, Principal and Director, Jain College of Engineering, Belagavi. The dignitaries appreciated the department’s efforts in promoting academic excellence and student creativity through the magazine.
In the afternoon session from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, students enthusiastically participated in a Sketch Art Competition based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), promoting creativity and awareness on global sustainability issues. Alongside, a Cooking without Fire competition encouraged innovation, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle practices.
The event concluded with vibrant Cultural Programs from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, where students showcased their talents, adding enthusiasm and energy to the celebrations.
All the events of the Navikā– 2026was judged by various Heads of all the departments of Jain College of Engineering, Belagavi.
