The International Conference on Emerging Computing Technologies (INCECT-2026) was inaugurated at Jain College of Engineering (JCE), Belagavi, in hybrid mode on August 21, 2026. Organised by the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, the two-day conference is being held on August 21 and 22. The 7th consecutive edition is jointly supported by WIE, AESS, IEEE Bangalore Section, and NKSS, focusing on research, innovation, emerging computing technologies, and artificial intelligence.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Dr. Prasad Rampure, Registrar, VTU, Belagavi, as the Chief Guest. In his address, he emphasised the importance of meaningful research that leads to practical solutions and benefits society. Dr. J. Shivakumar, Principal & Director, JCE and General Chair of INCECT-2026, welcomed the dignitaries and participants and highlighted the significance of emerging technologies in advancing research and real-world applications.

Dr.NarumolChumuang, Guest of Honour from MubanChombuengRajabhat University, Thailand, delivered the keynote address on “Beyond Generative AI: Building Intelligent Systems for Real-World Impact”. Other distinguished keynote speakers included AsadullahSaif Mohammed, who addressed AI-driven programme management and intelligent automation; Satish Kumar Malaraju, AWS, USA, who spoke on next-generation AI systems and cloud-native solutions; and SwathiGangarapu, who addressed full-stack applications and trustworthy agentic AI solutions using Java.
Dr.KrupaRasane, Organising Chair, presented an overview of the conference and highlighted its overwhelming response, with 4,356 research papers received from 12 countries. Following a rigorous review process, 292 papers were accepted, and 192 participants registered. Research papers were received from countries including Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Australia, the USA, and China, reflecting the conference’s growing international reach.
