Dr. Sanjeev Sangami, Dean – ICE and Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, was honoured to serve as a Resource Person for the One-Day Training Programme for High School and PU College CRPs & BRPs, organized by the DDPI Office, Belagavi, under the INSPIRE Innovation Funding Scheme.
He delivered an engaging session on “Nurturing Young Innovators: Transforming Student Ideas into Real-World Products” and “The Role of Schools as Innovation Hubs.” The session emphasized how early-stage student ideas can be effectively mentored, structured, and translated into impactful real-world solutions. Key discussions focused on fostering an innovation culture in schools, design thinking approaches, problem identification, and pathways for funding and incubation.
This initiative was led by the IIC Cell, Jain College of Engineering (JCE), Belagavi, in association with the Department of Civil Engineering, JCE Belagavi, and the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India. It marks a significant step toward empowering young minds and strengthening India’s grassroots innovation ecosystem.
The programme witnessed active participation from over 70 CRPs, BRPs, and nodal officers representing various schools and PU colleges across Belagavi district.
