The Founder of the Nirnal , Mr.Niranjan Karagi Inaugurated EDP cell at Jain College of Engineering . Speaking to students and faculty during the Inaugural Program he said that, Entrepreneur Development Cell aims at manifesting latent entrepreneurial spirit in young mind. He shared his experiences on his entrepreneurial journey and urged the students to think out of the box, so as to create a better society.
The EDP Cell In charge, Prof.Rashmi Y Harti explained the functioning and Objectives of the cell. At the cell we aim at providing a platform for budding entrepreneurs to hone their skills and build sustainable relationships with their mentors in order to facilitate successful transitions towards launching their own ventures. She welcomed the gathering and explained the role of EDC at JCE while listing out various objectives of the cell.
The President of the inaugural Dr.K G Vishwanath (Principal and Director – JCE) in his note asked the students to look beyond problems and emerge with a better solution towards the problem. Dr. K.G.Vishwanath explained the objectives of the cell which includes: To imbibe importance of innovation, collaboration and leadership, To bridge the gap between the established entrepreneurs and budding entrepreneurs, To promote entrepreneurship culture within the institute, To identify and provide support and guidance to budding entrepreneurs within the institution. .
Dr.S Rohitraj (HOD – MBA, JCE) welcomed the guest and spoke about the importance of Entrepreneurship in making the nation a developed economy. He said that, Entrepreneurship is a key driver of our economy. Wealth and a high majority of jobs are created by small businesses started by entrepreneurially minded individuals, many of whom go on to create big businesses. Entrepreneurs are frequently thought of as national assets to be cultivated, motivated and remunerated to the greatest possible extent. Entrepreneurship Development cell is the means to nurture entrepreneurship culture in academic institutions to foster growth of innovation and entrepreneurship amongst the faculty & students. Prof.Raviprakash was the Program Coordinator , Prof.CA Tanuja Bhati was the Master or Ceremony , Prof.Faiz Raut ,Prof.Basavaraj Sulibhavi, Prof.Varun Jewargi were also present.
