JGI’s Jain College of Engineering Belagavi Go-Kart team “Quick Shifters” emerged victorious at the Indian Karting Championship Season 5th, held at Mohite’s Racing Academy Kolhapur, Maharashtra from 14th to 17th February 2023 organized by Spaark Motorsport Pune. The team put up an impressive performance clinching top positions in various categories of the championship and Winning All India Ranking (AIR) 2nd in championship.

The Indian Karting Championship Season 5th was a highly competitive event, with 150 teams from across India participating in the championship. The competition comprised of 11 rigorous rounds spread over the period of 7 months, making it a true test of endurance and skill.

The Quick Shifters from JCE, Belagavi proved their mettle by winning the first prize in Autocross, Second in Acceleration, Third in SkidPad, Second in Time Trial, Second in Pre Qualifiers, and All India Rankinf (AIR) 2nd in Overall Championship. The team’s performance was a testimony of their dedication, hard work and their success has brought pride and laurels to the college and its faculty.

The team’s mentors, Prof. Vinayak Ratan, Prof. Uttam Kourche, Dr. Ratan Patil and HOD Dr. B. V. Hubballi expressed their joy and congratulated the team members on their outstanding performance. Dr. J. Shivakumar Principal and Director said, the teamwork, perseverance and commitment to excellence have made this victory possible.
