Resource Person: Mr. Karan Javali

The Illuminate Workshop, organized by JCE ED-Cell in association with E-Cell IIT Bombay on December 4th, 2024, began with a formal inauguration program. The convener of the ED-Cell Prof. Vaibhav Veeragoudar welcomed the participants and shared the vision behind the workshop, emphasizing its importance in fostering entrepreneurial skills among students. The Principal and Director Dr. J. Shivakumar gave presidential remarks and also addressed the attendees, highlighting the growing significance of entrepreneurship in today’s dynamic world and encouraging students to actively engage in the learning sessions.

The event continued with sessions on defining entrepreneurship and fostering the entrepreneurial mindset. Teams were formed, and participants engaged in idea generation and problem identification exercises. After a break, a workshop on the Business Model Canvas (BMC) allowed teams to structure their business ideas.

Following a team activity, the group took a lunch break, after which sessions on financial management for startups and insights into startup development were conducted. The event concluded with a pitching workshop, where participants learned how to pitch ideas effectively. Overall, the workshop provided valuable hands-on experience, practical knowledge, and motivation, making it an enriching experience for all attendees.
