About:
On 12th March 2025, a visit to the CNC Machine Shop at the Mechanical Department, VTU, Belagavi, was organized for 4th-semester Mechanical Engineering studentsaccompanied by faculty coordinators Prof. Narayan M. and Prof. Rajshekhar Unni.
Thanks to Dr.R R Malagi, Chairman Department of ME, Dr V.M Kulkarni and Dr.Anil Pol for giving this opportunity.
Objectives:
1. To provide students with hands-on exposure to CNC machining operations and their applications in manufacturing.
2. To enhance their understanding of measuring instruments and robotics in modern engineering practices.
Outcomes:
1. Students gained practical insights into CNC machining, precision measurement, and automation in manufacturing.
2. The visit strengthened their technical knowledge, bridging the gap between theory and industry applications.
