About:
A MOOC Awareness Session was held on 23rd May 2025 for 4th and 6th Semester students of all departments. Presented by VTU representative Mr. Varun, the session focused on Minor Degree options for 4th Sem students and Skill Enhancement Courses for 6th Sem students. Coordinated by MOOC coordinator Prof. Vinayak Ratan.
Objectives:
• To inform students about the availability and benefits of MOOCs under VTU guidelines.
• To guide 4th Sem students on pursuing Minor Degrees through relevant online courses.
• To create awareness among 6th Sem students about Skill Enhancement opportunities for career readiness.
Outcomes:
• Students gained clarity on course selection, registration process, and credit transfer for MOOCs.
• Increased interest among students to pursue interdisciplinary learning and value-added skills.
• The session promoted the adoption of self-paced learning aligned with academic goals.
