The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Jain College of Engineering, Belagavi, successfully organized the ‘3-Minute Project’ Presentation Competition for Engineering Studentsin collaboration with the Institute of Engineers (India) Local Chapter Belagavi, on 8thDecember 2025 as part of its academic innovation initiatives. The event aimed to encourage young engineers to present their project ideas concisely and effectively in 3 Minutes using 1 PPT slide.
Dr. Venkatratnam Chitturi, Professor and Head, EEE Department, formally welcomed the gathering,and highlighted the department’s continuous efforts in promoting innovation, creativity, and practical learning among students. In his address, he emphasized that platforms such as the 3-Minute Project presentation competitions would help the students to develop clarity of thought, communication skills, and confidence, which are essential for their professional growth.
Er. C. B. Hiremath, FIE, Chairman, IEI Belagavi Local Centre, the Chief Guest, in his inspiring address, stressed the importance of transforming theoretical knowledge into real-time applications. He encouraged students to focus on sustainable engineering solutions, problem-solving skills, and continuous learning to meet the dynamic demands of the industry. He also appreciated the initiative taken by the department in organizing such student-centric technical activities and motivated the participants to pursue innovation with social responsibility.
In his address, the Chief Guest highlighted the importance of innovative thinking, presentation skills, and industry-oriented learning for engineering students.

Dr. J. Shivakumar, Principal and Director, JCE, Belagavi.He congratulated the department for successfully organizing the event and appreciated the enthusiasm shown by the students. He emphasized that such competitions nurture leadership, communication, and professional ethics among budding engineers. He further motivated students to actively engage in technical forums, research activities, and professional bodies to enhance their academic excellence and career readiness.
Mrs. Megha S, Assistant Professor, EEE Department proposed the vote of thanks. The 3MP competition is judged by academicians and industrialists from all over India. Also, students from various states within India participated in the competition both in offline as well as in online mode. A total of 90+ teams participated in this National Level ‘3 Minute Project’ Presentation Competition.
