On the occasion of Republic Day (26th January 2026), the Department of Mechanical Engineering organized an online alumni meeting where Dr. B. V. Hubballi presented recent developments and placement growth, followed by presidential remarks from Dr. J. Shivakumar and a vote of thanks by Dr. Madhavi Magi. Alumni members including Ms. Arpita, Mr. Raghavendra, Mr. Rajat Joshi, and Mr. Anuj Deshpande shared insights on higher studies abroad, industry requirements, opportunities in Oil & Gas, and research collaboration in Robotics and Automation, while assuring support for internships and career guidance.Event coordinator – Prof. Jagadeesh P
Objectives
1. To brief about the recent developments and Infrastructure in the institute as well as the department.
2. To Inform the alumni about the changes in the curriculum in par with the industries and technological advancements and teaching learning methodologies.
3. To seek the growth of the alumni after their graduation.
4. To seek suggestions/ Feedbacks from the alumni for the holistic development of the department.
5. To seek the valuable contribution of alumni in terms of Internships/Placements/ Financial assistance etc.
6. To invite the alumni to the campus as a resource person to share their experiences/ growth of their career to their peers.
Outcomes
1. Alumni will be able to get an awareness about the various activities at the institute and be updated about the overall growth of the institute.
2. To be able to develop a strong alumni network for the holistic development of the institute.
3. Institute will be able to understand the progress of the Alumni in their careers
4. Institute will be able to update the alumni interactions/Feedbacks etc. during accreditation processes.
5. Alumni will be able to feel connected with their institute such that they in turn can contribute back to their peers.
6. Institute will be able to enhance students placement opportunities through alumni network
