About:
On the occasion of Republic Day (26th January 2026), the Department of Mechanical Engineering organized an online Parents’ Meeting to share recent developments, student activities, and placement progress for the academic year 2025–26.Dr. B. V. Hubballi highlighted departmental achievements, training initiatives, student clubs such as Go Kart Club, UDAAN Club, and SEC, along with the steady growth in placements, mentioning that 34 students were placed at Ronch Polymers Pvt. Ltd. Dr. J. Shivakumar delivered the presidential remarks, emphasizing accreditation and institutional development, while parents appreciated the placement efforts and expressed satisfaction with the department’s overall growth.Event coordinator – Prof. Rajshekhar U
Objectives
1. To brief about the recent developments and Infrastructure in the institute as well as the department.
2. To inform the Parents about the changes in the curriculum in par with the industries and technological advancements and teaching learning methodologies.
3. To seek the growth of the Parents after their graduation.
4. To seek suggestions/ Feedbacks from the Parents for the holistic development of the department.
5. To invite the Parents to the campus as a resource person to share their experiences/ growth of their career to their peers.
Outcomes
1. Parents will be able to get an awareness about the various activities at the institute and be updated about the overall growth of the institute.
2. To be able to develop a strong Parents network for the holistic development of the institute.
3. Institute will be able to understand the progress of the Parents in their careers
4. Institute will be able to update the Parents interactions/Feedbacks etc. during accreditation processes.
5. Parents will be able to feel connected with their institute such that they in turn can contribute back to their peers.
