The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Jain College of Engineering, Belagavi, organized Parent Teachers Meet on 22 June 2024
Dr.Venkantratnam Chitturi,HOD (EEE) welcomed the parents for the event & addressing them he insisted that, not only the faculty members are responsible for setting a goal for students, it is equal responsibility of parents also. He further added “Quality education can be imparted when parents and teachers work together for the overall development of their ward”. Through the strong collaboration between faculty and parents, we can help our students to discover their strengths, interests and challenges, develop skills in their different fields, and let each achieve success in their own ways.
The parents meeting would help teacher as well as parents to evolve solutions of common difficulties. Such meeting facilitates to develop inter personal relationships among parents and with teachers. The effective communication between parents and teachers would enhance the performances of students in all fields of curricular and extra- curricular activities.
There was open discussion of parents with HOD and faculty members discussed their ward’s progress in detail with the respective ward’s class teacher. Around 30 parents were present on the occasion.
Parents appreciated department’s effort in conducting Parents Meet, which they felt was highly necessary to know the progress of their ward.
Dr. J Shivakumar, Principal and Director, felicitated the academic toppers with their parents, sir gave the presidential remark in that he thanked all the parents and also he detailed that the students are the pillars and parents and teachers are the facilitators in the teaching learning process and he gave tips on how they can guide their ward to take his/her career decision in consultation with their mentor.
Prof Laxmi Brungi, event coordinator proposed vote of thanks, all the mentors and teaching, non teaching staff and students were present on the occasion.
