The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Jain College of Engineering, Belagavi, organized an awareness session on “Safety with Electricity” on 6th March 2026 in observance of Safety Week. The session was delivered by Er. Shashikant Bijapur, AEE (Electrical), Hubli Electricity Supply Company Limited (HESCOM), Hubballi, who explained electrical hazards, preventive safety measures, and safe practices in handling electrical systems.
The session was highly informative and interactive, where around 119 students actively participated and gained practical insights through real-life examples and case studies. The program helped students understand the importance of electrical safety and encouraged them to adopt responsible and safe engineering practices in their professional careers.
