Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Jain College of Engineering, Belagavi in collaboration with HESCOM Hubballi is organizing Three Days Training Program for HESCOM Powermen from 03rd April 2025 to 5th April 2025.
The three-day training program for HESCOM (Hubli Electricity Supply Company) powermen was inaugurated today, marking the beginning of an important initiative aimed at enhancing the skills, safety awareness, and operational efficiency of the workforce.
Dr.Venkatratnam Chitturi, HOD (EEE), JCE, Belagavi, welcomed the gathering and said “It is an honor to be part of this training program, which is an important step towards enhancing the skills of HESCOM’s powermen. We are proud to contribute to the professional growth of individuals working in vital sectors like power distribution. Our goal is to provide high-quality training that will not only benefit the participants but also contribute to the overall improvement of the sector.”
Shri. Kashinath Hiremath, Chief Engineer (Ele), O & M Zone, HESCOM, Belagavi, remarked in his speech that “Our powermen are the backbone of HESCOM’s operations, and it is essential that they stay updated with the latest industry practices. Through this program, we aim to equip them with the right skills to handle the challenges of the power sector while ensuring safety at all times.”
Er. Chandrashekar, EE, HESCOM, Hubballi, elaborated about the training program, which focuses on providing in-depth, practical training to HESCOM’s powermen. The program is designed to equip participants with the latest skills and knowledge in electrical safety, advanced troubleshooting techniques, preventive maintenance, and the handling of modern electrical equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of the power supply network.
Dr. J Shivakumar, Principal and Director,JCE, Belagavi, emphasized the importance of such initiatives for the growth and development of the workforce. In his remarks, he stated, “The power sector plays a critical role in the development of our society, and the training and development of our powermen is vital to ensure that we continue to provide safe, reliable, and efficient services to our consumers. I am proud of the collaboration between Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of JCE Belagavi and HESCOM Hubballi.
Prof. Laxmi Brungi, event coordinator conveyed the vote of thanks.
