Association of Basic Science (ABS) of Jain College of Engineering, Belagavi has observed World Environment Day -2025 in the college campus on 5 June, 2025. World Environment Day is celebrated every year on June 5. The World Environment Day 2025 focuses on combating plastic pollution. Recent research has suggested that microplastics are now in almost everything that exists on the earth, including the human brain.The theme of world environment day 2025 is “putting an end to plastic pollution”. JCE has observed the world environment day through organizing different events and competitions among the students. Online quiz was arranged for students to create awareness about World Environment day. Dr. Shivkumar M A was event coordinator for conducting online quiz. Different departments have conducted different events and competitions. Large number of students were present in the programme. After that winners were announced in the different events and competitions.
