Jain College of Engineering’s ( Machhe Campus) MBA Department Hosts Grand Inauguration of Two-Day Management Fest ‘Adhyay-2026’.

April 24th , 2026 – The Department of MBA at Jain College of Engineering (JCE) proudly inaugurated its two-day management fest, *Adhyay-2026*, today at the Sir M. V. Auditorium. Celebrated as a platform for leadership, innovation, and excellence, the event brought together dignitaries, faculty, participants, and students in a spirit of collaboration and enthusiasm.
The ceremony began with a warm welcome from anchors MBA Students Ms. Atiqa and Ms. Sakshi, who set an inspiring tone with the thought: “Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress, and working together is success.” Following an official teaser that captured the energy of the fest, the gathering stood for the JGI Prayer, seeking blessings for the successful conduct of the event.
The ceremonial lighting of the lamp symbolized the dispelling of darkness through knowledge and wisdom. Ms. Poornima delivered the welcome address, after which Dr. S. Rohit Raj introduced the distinguished Chief Guest, Mr. Basavraj Madiwalar, DC of Commercial Taxes ( Enforcement) , North Zone , Belagavi who was felicitated with a token of appreciation. In his address, the Chief Guest shared invaluable insights on managerial excellence and leadership, motivating the audience.
Mr. Madiwalar said to all the students that : Step Away from Social Media, Spend Time in the Library. Mr. Madiwalar delivered a straight-from-the-heart speech that resonated deeply with the audience. He urged students to understand that dreams do not materialize without relentless dedication and sincere effort. “To achieve your dreams, you need to put in lots of dedication and efforts. There are no shortcuts to success,” he said emphatically. He observed that while talent is abundant, what truly separates achievers from dreamers is the willingness to work hard consistently, even when no one is watching. In a pointed and timely appeal, Mr. Madiwalar turned his attention to the digital habits of today’s generation. Expressing concern over excessive screen time and social media addiction, he advised students to consciously disconnect from virtual distractions and reconnect with timeless wisdom. “Today’s generation should step away from social media and spend more time in the library,” he declared. He reminded them that while social media offers fleeting validation, a library nourishes the mind, builds character, and sharpens analytical thinking. He encouraged students to develop a habit of reading, exploring subjects beyond their curriculum, and engaging with ideas that challenge and inspire them.
Dr. Jemson Vaz introduced the highlights and significance of *Adhyay-2026*, followed by inspiring presidential remarks from Principal and Director, Dr. J. Shivakumar, who commended the organizing team for their dedication.
The fest features a wide array of competitive events spanning HR, Icebreaker sessions, Marketing, Finance, Best Manager, and Cultural activities, offering students a holistic platform to demonstrate their managerial acumen and creative talents.
In a noteworthy gesture, the JCE Management extended heartfelt congratulations to the entire MBA team for their meticulous planning, coordination, and seamless execution of the inaugural ceremony. Their efforts were widely appreciated by all attendees.
The formal segment concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Ms. Poornima. Participants were then directed to their respective assigned classrooms in A building (3rd floor), with special instructions for Best Manager participants. *Adhyay-2026* continues tomorrow, promising two days of learning, competition, and celebration.
