As part of our ongoing Earth Week celebrations under the Bharat Sustainable Campus Mission 2026, the CSE and MCA departments successfully conducted a cutting-edge “Digital Decarbonization” workshop!
Did you know that “Dark Data”—unused emails, duplicate files, and bloated cloud storage—contributes significantly to global CO2 emissions? Our students took a stand to change that.
Key Highlights of the Activity:
• Hands-on Optimization: 34 tech-savvy students performed real-time Google Drive cleanups and mobile storage optimization using smart filters.
• Energy Auditing with Code: In a brilliant display of technical skill, students used Python and Excel-based dashboards to calculate real-time system power usage and track the resulting CO2 emissions.
• Awareness Seminar: Led by our expert faculty, the session highlighted the environmental cost of our digital footprints and the path toward “Green Computing.”
