On 5th August 2026, members of the Consulting Civil Engineering Association (CCEA), Belagavi visited the Department of Civil Engineering, Jain College of Engineering (JCE), Belagavi, to strengthen industry–institute collaboration.
The CCEA delegation comprised: Er. Ajay Patil – President, CCEA, Er. Bhimsen Zirali – Joint Secretary, CCEA, Er. Rajkumar Hongal & Er. Kiran Malipatil The dignitaries were warmly welcomed by Dr. Mithun B. M., Head of the Department of Civil Engineering.
Dr. J. Shivakumar, Principal & Director, JCE, Belagavi, appreciated the initiative and emphasized the significance of strong industry–academia partnerships in preparing students to meet the evolving demands of the civil engineering profession. Dr. Sanjeev Sangami, Dean (ICE), highlighted the importance of Industry–Institute Interaction and its vital role in enhancing student’s technical competence and employability.
The meeting focused on bridging the gap between academics and industry. The following key areas were discussed:

- Skill Development
- Mentorship and Guidance
- Curriculum Updates
- Internship and Placement Support
- Guidance for Student Projects
As an outcome of the meeting, it was mutually decided that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be signed between the Consulting Civil Engineering Association (CCEA), Belagavi and the Department of Civil Engineering, Jain College of Engineering, Belagavi, to strengthen Industry–Institute collaboration and create enhanced learning and career opportunities for students.
