Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Jain College of Engineering, Belagavi organized PRESTINUS 2021, an online event, under the aegis of department students’ association TESLA & The Institute of Engineers (India), Student’s Chapter (Electrical) on 7^th – 8^th July 2021. The online event was arranged in virtual platform to encourage the budding talents.

Dr. G. H. Kulkarni, Head of the Department, Electrical and Electronics Engineering addressed in the online platform that such programs are needed to identify the hidden gems amongst the students. In order to encourage the budding talents, he motivated them with his precious words. The occasion was inaugurated by watering a plant in presence of all academic and administrative staffs.

In this two-day event of PRESTINUS, 7^th July constituted of Pick and Speak Competition and on 8^th July it was Singing competition. Students from 6^th semester Bharathi Hadimani and Prem Mole hosted the event. Prof. Vinod S Patil staff advisor of IE(I) students’ chapter (Electrical) proposed the vote of thanks.

Principal Dr. K G Vishwanath appreciated the effort taken by the department. Faculty members of E&E Department Prof. Shubha B. Baravani, Prof. Laxmi Brungi, Prof. Nagaraj Aiholli, Prof. Vireshkumar Mathad, Dr. Debraj Sarkar and Dr. Tamalika Chowdhury co-ordinated the event on this occasion.
