INSTITUTION'S INNOVATION COUNCIL

The Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) at Jain College of Engineering (JCE) is a dynamic entity that fosters innovation, entrepreneurship, and research within the institution. Here are some key activities and objectives of the IIC:

Objectives:

Promote innovation and entrepreneurship among students and faculty
Provide a platform for students to showcase their innovative ideas and projects
Foster industry-institute interaction and collaboration
Support startups and entrepreneurial ventures

Activities:

Workshops and Training Sessions: Organized workshops on topics like Lean Startup Boot Camp, IOT, and practical aspects of civil engineering
Innovation Competitions: Conducted competitions like Yukti Idea Competition to encourage students to present their innovative ideas
Project Exhibitions: Hosted project exhibitions like JCE Avinya-2024 to showcase student projects and innovations
Mentorship and Guidance: Provided mentorship and guidance to students on entrepreneurship and startup-related topics

Collaborations:

Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell: JCE’s IIC is affiliated with the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell, which provides support and resources for innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives
Industry Partnerships: Collaborated with industries and organizations to provide students with practical experience and exposure to real-world problems

Events:

Lean Startup Boot Camp: A one-day session held to introduce students to lean startup methodologies
IOT Workshop: A two-day workshop held to introduce students to Raspberry Pi and IoT technologies
Orientation Session: An orientation session held to familiarize students with government startup policies and funding processes

To establish a thriving regional innovation environment. HEI startup-supporting mechanisms. Prepare your institution to be ranked by Atal based on innovation achievements.
Create a functional ecosystem for idea scouting and idea pre-incubation. Improve students’ cognitive skills in technology. to teach engineering with a concentration on economics, social science, and humanities. Develop multidisciplinary research

Functions of IIC

To carry out different innovation and entrepreneurship-related tasks outlined by Central MIC in a timely manner.
Recognize and honor innovations; Disseminate success tales.
Create a network of mentors for student innovators by planning recurring workshops, seminars, and encounters with business owners, financiers, and experts.
Establish connections with national entrepreneurial development organizations and your peers.
Create an institution’s innovation portal to showcase creative ideas completed by the teachers and students of the institution.
Hold hackathon, concept competitions, mini-challenges, and other events with the participation of various industries.
